Raining right now, but should clear up around lunchtime. High temp today of 68. Hope I can do a little yard work after this afternoon. I'm working all day. All meals will be from home, although I have no clue as to what supper will be. Don't think I will be spending any money today. Hope everyone has a great day!

Brought breakfast, lunch and snacks from home. Having meatloaf, mashed potatoes, etc. for dinner.  MIL is bringing over all her stamps/cutters/embossers/cardstock/scrap-book paper etc. so we can make Valentine's tonight with our nephew (i.e. DH will be playing XBOX/messing around online with FIL and we'll be making cards LOL).  Need to stop for gas on the way home, should be the only money out today.

Of course the ground hog saw his shadow...how couldn't he with all those media lights? The sun wasn't even up yet lol.  I'll believe six more weeks of winter whenever winter actually gets here! Stick out tongue

Another nice day but we have a storm coming and the news already predicts a foot of snow for some areas. We are in the 6 to 12 inch zone. But...if it stays warm, it may just rain (and then freeze which is bad, too). So, going to enjoy the high of 60 and wait for the rain and later, snow. We have a full fridge/pantry so if we get a bunch of snow on Friday, i can just stay put and not drive anywhere.

Budget set for February. Both DH and I need gas so a whopper cash need right away, LOL. I have to cash a check anyway so will give 1/2 to DH and use the other 1/2 for gas for my car. Better to have a full tank in bad weather anyway! I will do that after I leave work at noon. I work 1/2 a day so have time to run some errands before I pick up kiddos from school.

Dinner tonight, chicken enchiladas with Spanish rice and black beans.Yum.....

    Take care everyone!

Not too much going on here today.  A storm headed our way and it could either miss us or dump...we shall see.  I hate how it is 50 degrees one day and snow the next here...some day I will escape!  LOL  Brought my breakfast, coffee and lunch though I'm at the stage of antibiotics where nothing sounds/tastes good and my stomach is constantly unhappy.  Sunday is my last day on antibiotics so the end is in site.  Dinner will be leftovers.  I need cat food but it's a planned purchase.  No other money out today.

I would rather have snow than the freezing rain. Too dangerous to drive or walk.  37 here and cloudy.  I have chicken and rice soup in the crockpot for today. Also have leftover chilli that needs to be eaten.  This afternoon, we have a meeting at the nursing home about my Mom. They do these every three months to update on meds, everything. Bean will come and work for me so I can attend this. Thats about it for the day. I need to check to see if I need gas before driving anywhere.  Have a blessed day, Babs

Sunny and supposed to hit about 64 today. It is a little breezy. I have all of the housework done except running the dishwasher which I will do after lunch today. I think I will go trim some of my flowers  and maybe see what I need to do to get the pots ready for herbs for the spring. I need to finalize my grocery list for the next 2 weeks since DH just decided what he wants to snack on for Superbowl Sunday. I think I might make the chicken enchiladas that I promised my son for dinner tonight if he is going to be home. If not I will make them on Saturday.

Hey everyone. Been a little stressful around here. While at work at the high school yesterday(where DD goes) she text me to say she just found a lice bug on her head. Last week she asked me to look at her hair which I did with a flashlight even and didn't see anything. Neither DH or I have hit thankfully. She said her head has been itching for a few weeks. 3 weekends ago she had a "new" friend spend the night so I wonder if it came from that girl or she just picked it up at school. So yesterday I was knee deep in treating her and combing out nits. Spent almost 4 hours just combing out nits to be extra safe. Then I treated myself as a precaution and had DH go through my hair with the comb and he found nothing so I was relieved at that. I will retreat DD tomorrow. I flea bombed her room as when she had it a year ago I am convinced thats what helped get rid of it. She was so good about it. She came home and bagged up all her stuff(thankfully there wasn't much as she just had her room painted and had cleaned it out). Then she helped me throughout the day with all the laundry. I wanted to get everyones that was in the dirty laundry mixed with her clothes done. I didn't get it all and am working on the rest as we speak.

So yesterday I had to buy the hair stuff which was 44.00 plus the bomb which was 10.00. I will buy one more kit tomorrow. Spent money on two new hairbrushes. Her and I always have separate ones(thank God!) and I decided to throw mine out in case of cross contamination. I took today off to finish up the laundry etc...

Dealing with some significant depression so could use some prayers if you wouldn't mind. Depression is normal for me year round but the winters get pretty rough. Saw my doc today about it. She had put me on a new medication for the fibro that also treats depression/anxiety but I had to go off my other one so I think the combination of new low dose on the new med and the old coming out of my system has wreaked havoc on me. She just upped the dose on the new one sooner than we had planned. Hoping it helps with everything!

The good news is my downstairs is just about done being painted and I love it. He just has to put one more coat on the antique red wall and entryway. What a difference a coat of paint makes! I feel like I have a new house! Anyhow, tonights supper will be terryaki steak, fresh baked bread and salad for DH and DD. I am just having black beans and rice I made this afternoon as I love it!

    Sunny and mid-50s

This is shaping up to be an odd week.   Had a dentist's appt today for a checkup.  Dentist was just about to start when the lights went out!  Seems the power company was  doing some work and shut the power off to the block for 2 hours ....  Dentist was not happy with the power company to say the least ...

Anyway, stopped at Aldi and spent some $ on produce and a couple of things for the pantry.

I had a bad scare last night but it scared baby brother even more.  I had a bad fall UP the front porch steps! Fell face first and it happened so fast that I didn't even try to break my fall.  Fortunately I wasn't hurt badly.  Very sore all over with a couple of small bruises,  I'm sure I'll be very stiff tomorrow.

Baby brother and his girlfriend got married yesterday. I have a new niece!  She is precious.

BFF and I had an early meal.  Only other money out was for Rx's.

    re-tired
