    Re: Friday January 27th Stretching

Mornin' everyone. Yucky outside. Looks like we didn't get the freezing rain they predicted but haven't been outside to take dd to school yet. I am taking today off. My firbromyalgia has been bad all week. Most of the week I have gone to bed by 7:15 and slept until 6. Worked 2 full days and one half. I have stopped taking anything for it because years and years of advil can't be good for my liver. Really need to research naturopathic remedies.

My to do list today is quite large. Laundry has piled up considerably due to me being down. DD has had a lot of homework so not asking her to do much of anything during the week. So laundry, dishes, finish putting the living room back together after painting, run to Aldi for juice, bananas, salsa, bagels, green peppers, check on college loan for ds, make bread, start dehydrating apples for ds for valentines day(he eats almost no candy with his stomach issues), get my nails filled in. I am still biting at my cuticles which is depressing. I had hoped that having the nails on would solve not just the biting of the nails but the cuticles also. I am going to give it another couple weeks and have them taken off one way or another. I can't stand having them filled.

We haven't eaten supper together as a family for over a week. I just keep forgetting as I am in pain when I get home and often haven't eaten and just don't think of it when I do cook. So tonights the night! Will be making baked fish with old bay and butte/olive oil, mac n cheese for dd who wouldn't eat a fish if her life were threatened, fruit, salad and probably fresh bread. During the day today I will browse netflix for a good family movie to watch tonight.

Want to get in my craft room and play this weekend. Need to make sure that happens. I have several cards I could make for upcoming birthdays.

Good MOrning, we had a little snow, a lot of ice and now rain . It is warmin gup so the roads should thaw out and be safe later. There is school, yeah. I will have 4 grandaughters as their Moms work. Then school kids at 3:00. DH has another very busy day. Funeral at 1:00, counseling from 6 to7 then a rehersal at 7:00. I have split pea soup if he comes home to eat. We didnt eat it last evening as he came home earlier than planned. I made mac cheese, carrots , green beans. corn bread.  Today, I will find something easy fo rme to eat.  I have one load of laundry to do.  Weekend is busy. I will take Bean food shopping tomorrow as her DH is in Tenn for weekend. Then Sun church, DIL birthday party at 2:00. Need to pick up a gift card for her. She likesJC Pennys but I wont get to their store, 15 minute drive one way. I am hoping that Walgreens will have them. Have a good day as you plan for the weekend, Babs

Three girls off school, two chiro appts, one dd when to an overnight speech tournament. Need tp find the garbage bill and get it out, then all bills paid for the month. We will go to the library and to return a jacket this morning.

Dinner from home, dd will make. I work 1-6. Hoping for a peaceful weekend after a horrible day yesterday with ex yelling, harassing, ex-mil calling and cussing on the phone, all because he doesn't want to pay the child support they set when he took me back to court to try to get it reduced in October.  Instead they raised it.

Babs, you could just get a green dot visa from Walgreens, instead of a specific gift card, or give her $. Might be easier.

Tracy, I am so sorry you are having to deal all that ugliness. Another non-stretchy day. Just working 1/2 day today. I don't have any patients on Friday afternoons thank goodness. I have a sinus infection and my antibiotic is making me feel yucky. Have to go pickup more meds for me and DH before I go home. Will probably be close to $100. All meals will be from home. I also need to get gas. Hope everybody has a great day!

    Re: Friday January 27th Stretching

I woke up with pink eye. Ugh. We've had it at our house but I thought it was gone. I have drops so started those right away. I'm glad January is almost over. We ended the month in good shape financially. I want to get ahead on a few things and put money away for some expenses in February.

Took the boys to the dentist yesterday. DS age 5 had first xrays and showed cavities forming between 2 back molars. Since he just turned 5, dentist wants to be a bit more proactive and fill those so decay doesn't set in the baby teeth. If he loses those teeth, he won't have molars for several years. And baby teeth decay faster b/c of less enamel. So he goes back in Feb to have those filled. Oldest DS had no problems, good for him. I'm checking on my dental insurance to see how much our insurance covers things like fillings. We get 2 appointments a year and 4 xrays covered 100% after $50 deductible. But dental work is either covered 80% or 50% depending on what it is. I hope fillings are 80% as 4 may add up!

I made a pot of chili last night so have that for leftovers today. I work 1/2 a day but need to do some continuing education hours via the web. May come into the office in the morning and do that. Dinner tonight, beef and bean enchiladas and rice. I made a batch of bleu cheese dressing so need to cut up carrots and celery. I want to bake muffins this weekend for easy breakfasts next week.

Hopefully a frugal weekend! My dad is coming to celebrate his birthday. He wants to take US out for lunch tomorrrow, LOL. I will make a nice meal for dinner, maybe roast a chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy. Send leftovers home with him on Sunday.

    Take care everyone!

Woke up to gray skies and windy weather today so I think I will stay inside unless my friend calls and wants to get together before she goes back to Oklahoma in a few days. All this wind isn't good for the allergies. Since I wasn't home all day yesterday I have a mountain of laundry and some straightening up to do. Haven't even thought about dinner tonight guess I should if we want to eat, lol. All food will be from home today since the cupboards and freezers are full.

    Re: Friday January 27th Stretching

cold and grey skies here too.  suppose to be sunny like yesterday.    working today and tomorrow..new yogurt with veggies it to give babies and toddlers.

only worked a short time yesterday so went to the bank and was going to order chqs since the ones I have have coffee stains on them..$41 for 100!!  so will use the stained ones...don't write many chqs.    made an appt for monday for mortage rates check for redoing mortage.

at the local bookstore on wed I picked up the book I ordered lake eden cookbook by joanna fluke but I couldn't use my gift card to pay because of some software gitch so wasn't thrilled about it..wasn't a *** either..just said the reason I asked for gift cards  for xmas was to use them.  so the owner phd at night apologizing..apparently if they had returned the cash deposit and then they could have used the gift card.  told her I wasn't that upset, just that they should ask the software people for a fix. but she is giving me a $5 credit.

had to chuck the rest of the chinese food from monday..didn't smell right..not buying it again for our student.  if he is going to have a thing about leftovers then that is his problem. didn't touch the stuff I got from the bakery either. so tough.

leftover fajitas last night with rice.

I just scored on Fage greek yogurt. Aldi has it clearanced for 1.49 for the big carton(thinking 16oz minimum). They want 6.00 for the same carton at Price chopper. I bought 5 cartons came home, took a little out of each and put it in the blender to make a smoothie and put the cartons in the freezer, now they won't bulge open while frozen. Plans have changed for dinner. It is our friends girlfriends birthday so we are going to pizza hut since they have 10.00 pizzas any size and toppings. I just finished making a huge pot of gravy out of the leftover turkey drippings from last weeks turkey. There is at least 1/2 gallon! When it cools will put in containers or ziploc bags and freeze. I have the turkey bones from the legs and wings simmering for stock. Set the timer for 4 hours. Will probably just ziploc that once it cools. Got all the laundry folded, my nails done, Aldi run, bed made, books put back on living room bookshelves now that painting in here is done. Still need to put the folded laundry away as it is on our bed. I also made a greeting card. Think I am done for the day. Still raining hard but at least it's not snow!

    Re: Friday January 27th Stretching

Change of plans today. I had to run into town to pick up a few things from Walmart would rather do it today instead of the weekend. Sky finally cleared up so the sun is out, it is still a little breezy but not too bad. I have 2 loads of laundry left. I am determined to get it done today so I have the weekend free. I think my guys will probably be working on my son's truck this weekend. It needs new brakes and it is something that my husband can do himself and teach my son to do, so he will be able to do it himself next time. We are trying to teach him how to do the maintenance on the truck and how to fix things around the house so he can take care of things himself when he moves out on his own.
