    Veggie Blends?

Veggies are out best friends! What are your favorite veggie blends? According to your tastes, what veggies do you feel pair good together?

I know some folks like to pre-cut veggies ahead of time to have for that day, or that week, for healthy snacking... others enjoy making their own stir fry veggie blends or mixes using their favorite paired vegetables. Some shoot for beautiful salad blends! Share your favorite veggie pairings/blends - it may give another person here an idea of how to use a vegetable they are curious about or want to eat or serve more. Everyone can benefit from eating more vegetables so eat them up in abundance! and share how you do!

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Yum! Fresh fruits and veggies are the primary focus for all our meals. A meal is not a meal without fresh fruits and veggies so we are royal over here on fresh produce. There are specifics I LOVE to pair together though...

Mushrooms - raw and sliced into baby spinach salad or with any fine salad greens really... steamed with zucchini and/or asparagus... roasted with eggplant and garlic... mushrooms and baby bok choy! especially shitake with baby bok choy!

Sunflower sprouts with any salad and great with edible flowers, They go great with broccoli for a raw broccoli crunch salad

I have found a recent love the last few months for green chilis with spinach and green onions

Raw beet and baby spinach salad, yum

Raw veggie platters that could be there own stand at the farmer's market, lol - Persian cucumber, baby or sliced carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, tomato slices or cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, snap peas, sweet potato sticks, thin sliced radish, trimmed green beans, slices of bell pepper,  in shell english peas and soybeans, baby bok choy w/endsand healthy fat fruits of avocado and olives - I mean seriously everything from here to Timbucktwo would be a dream platter...

Bell peppers (I know I know they are a fruit) and corn... zucchini and green peas, lima beans, snap peas or soybeans... green beans, red bell peppers and mushrooms... steamed broccoli to top steamed potatoes...roasted carrots, parsnips and sweet potatoes or yams - oh my goodness, divine!!!

Garlic and all goodies from the onion family with just about any vegetable...Massive garlic lovin' over here... massive

Do not forget sea vegetables - I love nori and dulse with raw spinach or sprouts, actually divine with butter leaf lettuce too!

I'd be here all day listing more favorites but that's a promising start!

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

BB - looks like you have covered what we like, but here is something we love!  Not really a veggie blend, but try strawberry & a bite of tomato together.  Talk about complimenting and enhancing the flavor of each, try it!

    Re: Veggie Blends?

My house always smells like garlic. It would be useless to use air fresheners with as much garlic as we eat I don't even try to get rid of the garlic smell. We use a lot of mouthwash thanks to the garlic. I don't know how to cook without garlic. Everything tastes bland to me without it.
